Small Business Spotlight: Antique Candle Company

Here is a public service announcement for you all:  If you need gifts or something yummy smelling for your home – Run, do not walk, to Antique Candle Company’s website and check out what candle fragrances they have. Let me preface this by also admitting I have a bit of a candle addiction and love candles! I am a candle snob and definitely have my favorite brands, so I would say I am a tough judge.

Ever since I started buying Antique Candle Company candles I have added them to my repertoire of my candle rotation. One thing I love about them is you can purchase sample packs of the different scents so you can be certain you like the scents before you commit to a larger size.

One of my very favorite things about this sweet company is they do not hide their faith and, in fact, proudly share their Christian beliefs. Here is their mission as posted on their website:

“The heart behind our business is Christ. He is our encouraging guide and ultimately the business owner of Antique Candle Co.® He is not just helping us, He is directing us. In this season, He has decided to bless our small, growing candle company and I am grateful for that. Thank you for following our business journey.”

The founder Brittany, founded Antique Candle 7 years ago with “an idea, business plan, and $200 worth of candle making supplies.”

Antique Candle Company says their candles are “farmhouse-inspired, quality candles—hand poured right here in Lafayette, Indiana! Our greater mission is to share the love of Christ with all our candle friends. We believe He is the true light and we do everything for the glory of Him. Antique Candle Co.® supports faithful missionaries to this cause.

Every Antique Candle Co.® candle is made with wax from natural, domestically grown soy beans and a hand-picked blend of non-toxic fine fragrance oils + essential oils. A natural cotton wick completes the candle for a clean, long-lasting, and even burn.”

I will say from personal experience, these candles do burn evenly! Some of the fragrances they have range from Christmas-themed scents like Christmas Day, Gingerbread, Peppermint and Spiced Cranberry. They also have fall scents like Apple Butter, Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Spice. I love to burn Clean Cotton or Lavender Vanilla in a bathroom. If you collect antiques, they also pour some of their candles into fun and unique antique tins or vintage jars.

Clearly, this is a wonderful company that I wanted to share with you all. Try them out!  I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I do!
